Once a man was infuriated with his 3 year old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, on Christmas morning, the little girl brought the gift to her father and said, " This is for you, Daddy. " The man was embarrassed by his earlier reaction, but his anger flared again when he found that the box was empty. He yelled at her, " Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside?! "
The little girl looked up at him as tears swelled in her eyes, " Daddy, it's not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you. " The father was crushed. He put his arms around the little girl, and begged for her forgiveness. A short time later, an accident took the life of the child. The father kept the gold box by his bed for many years; whenever he was discouraged he wouldd take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of his child who put it there. All of us have been given a gold container with unconditional love and kisses from those closest to us.
Always treasure the love that surrounds us.
